It is with great pleasure The Breeden Company announces the 2020 Employee of the Year winner, Debbie Holsomback. Debbie is a long-tenured Breeden Company associate, overseeing Marshall Springs at Gayton West, a multimillion dollar 420-unit multifamily asset in Richmond, Virginia. Debbie was nominated by several of her company peers. Repeatedly, nominators affirmed Debbie always holds true to the Breeden Standard of Excellence, making sure her employees, as well as her residents, understand the true meaning of “why” we do what we do. It has been noted Debbie is the first person to arrive to work and the last to leave, she is committed to her community, her residents, her employees and her company. This year dealt unprecedented challenges. Debbie, in her efforts to continue to train and mentor, was able to promote her entire team but then had to train an entirely new team – all during a pandemic.

Each year, a panel of judges determines The Breeden Company Employee of the Year finalists. The nominees have made outstanding contributions to the company, including creativity, team-spirit, problem solving and customer service. From a company with over 400 associates, choosing the top employees can be a daunting task. The Employee of the Year award is a prestigious honor for The Breeden Company that serves to recognize the best of the best within the organization. The winner is afforded an additional week of vacation as well as a $5000 bonus. The finalists are also awarded $500 bonuses.
