Mark Denny is the Vice President of Property Management for The Breeden Company. In his role, he is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operation and profitability of the organization’s multifamily and commercial divisions. Mark is an accomplished property management professional with extensive experience in the multifamily industry. He translates this to providing an exceptional, service-centric experience for his commercial tenants and multifamily residents, as well as engaging all of the divisions’ teams while creating value for all investors and owners.

Mark joined The Breeden Company in 2011 as an assistant property manager of one of the organization’s multifamily assets, Hunter’s Mill Apartments. He was quickly promoted to manager of a neighboring boutique community. When the Breeden Company developed their inaugural 5-diamond Enriched Lifestyle Community™, Cambria at Cornerstone Apartments, Mark transitioned to the assistant property manager so that he could gain knowledge of the luxury living residential model. Following a very successful tenure at the highly acclaimed community, Mark continued his career as property manager at several of Breeden apartment communities. Mark’s on-site residential experience includes boutique apartment management, luxury apartment management, third-party management, acquisitions and rehabilitations. Prior to his current role, Mark was a regional property manager in the Hampton Roads market of Virginia.

Mark was born in Newcastle, England and moved to Norfolk, Virginia at 12 years old. His mother was a Breeden associate for 20 years, allowing Mark insight into the organization he would one day serve as an executive for. In his spare time, Mark donates his energy to coaching the boys’ varsity soccer team at Granby High School in Norfolk, VA.

Tom Moore has over 32 years of experience in facilities management, responsible for the formulation of effective business strategies to maximize asset performance across the portfolios of office, retail and multifamily property types. He began his career with The Breeden Company as a service technician at one of the organization’s multifamily assets. He was quickly promoted throughout the years, serving most recently as the Director of Asset Management. In his current role, Tom is responsible for the overall administration the organization's property and land assets, facilities strategic planning, master planning, capital planning, facility maintenance, capital construction project management and continuous improvements to the various commercial and multifamily assets.

Christine Caldwell started her career with The Breeden Company in 2016 as a Regional Director. With over 27 years of property management experience, she currently manages a portfolio that consists of 14 properties, 2,761 units and 59 associates. Her focus is delivering strong financial results, asset management, developing and promoting strong talent and providing excellent customer service. Prior to her position with The Breeden Company, Christine worked at UDR, Inc. holding every position in a property management office as well as at a regional level. Christine is known for being a problem solver, effective communicator and relationship builder.

Christine earned a bachelor's degree from Old Dominion University. She has served on the board of the Peninsula Apartment Council as well as the Yorkshire Downs Master Homeowner’s Association.

Jamie Kane is Vice President of New Development for The Breeden Company’s multifamily division and brings over 18 years of experience to the industry. In his current position as Director of New Development, Jamie exhibits extensive experience garnered from working with all corporate levels, producing critical and high-level development coordination and workable solutions required for efficient management of various new construction multifamily projects. He is attracted to the provision of a unique business environment, ensuring that each development meets or exceeds the financial and prospects’/residents’ perceived goals of the project.

Jamie is a calculated risk-taker with deep knowledge in providing analytical support for strategic business decisions for the organization’s proposed and newest assets. Specifically, Jamie is well-versed in establishing ways to maximize property use and ROI. As Vice President of New Development, Jamie is also tasked with ensuring the Breeden Standard of Excellence is adhered to and exceeded throughout the various developments’ lifecycle.

Having begun his career as a Leasing Specialist at Featherstone Apartments in Newport News, Virginia, Jamie was soon promoted to the role of Assistant Manager, and, within months, the role of Property Manager at Chapel Lake Apartments in Virginia Beach. In 2011, Jamie oversaw Woodbriar Apartments when The Breeden Company broke ground on a radically new ultra-luxury apartment living brand, the Enriched Lifestyle Community. Jamie was selected to spearhead this brand new property and concept, and in 2012, Cambria at Cornerstone opened in Virginia Beach, Virginia, The Breeden Company’s 4-diamond, Class-A community. After having a tremendous amount of success as the Property Manager at Cambria, Jamie then moved on to lead the lease up success of five more communities. In 2019, Jamie was promoted to Regional Director for the properties he spent time on as a property manager. Having the unique perspective of so much of his own time spent managing each property made him especially tailored to lead the teams of current managers and service managers in those communities. In this role, Jamie also oversaw the construction and development of Berkmar Landing Apartments in Charlottesville, VA.

Jamie’s excellent interpersonal skills, human resource management skills and social intelligence highlight his valuable assemblage of productive teams for The Breeden Company. He is a charismatic, result-oriented leader with a commitment to building a conducive work environment and maximizing opportunities for individual, group and company growth.

Jessica Crawford is Director of Operations for The Breeden Company’s multifamily property management division. She is responsible for the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans for the division as well as oversight of the organization’s individual multifamily assets. Jessica also focuses on maximizing efficiencies and productivity through extensive process analyses, sets strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity and works with the regional management team in recommending solutions for improvement, where necessary, as well as developing financial and budgetary plans.

Prior to her current role, Jessica served as Training and Sales Manager in the multifamily property management division. She is a 14-year Breeden associate who began her tenure as a leasing specialist at one of the organization’s largest multifamily assets.

Debbie Gordon is a Regional Director for one portfolio of properties for the multi-family division, including stabilized, lease- up and third-party properties. She is responsible for overall customer service, property conditions, staffing and financial performance of the annual operating budgets for her assigned region, which currently includes 12 properties.

Debbie joined The Breeden Company in 1996 as the Director of Marketing for the 1500 units owned and managed by the company. With the vast growth of the company, she has taken on the role of Regional Property Director and has managed multiple lease-up communities, the acquisition of several properties, she's stabilized properties and has managed several renovations and remodels. She has trained and managed several property managers who have been promoted to successful Regional Property Directors within our company and in the industry. Debbie served as a RAM instructor for 10 years and served multiple roles on one of the local housing committees, including Chair for two years.

Debbie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Old Dominion University.

Heather Fuller is the newest Regional Director in The Breeden Company’s multifamily division, joining in 2022. In her role, Heather oversees a portfolio of Hampton Roads, Virginia multifamily assets.

A native of Westchester County, outside of New York City, Heather moved to Virginia almost 10 years ago. She began her career with The Breeden Company as a leasing consultant at one of the organization’s largest multifamily assets. She was promoted to Assistant Manager in 2015, to Property Manager in 2017, and to Senior Property Manager in 2019. During her tenure as senior property manager, Heather oversaw a 100% property renovation, pushing its completion in record time. In her operational role, Heather also served as a Breeden Training Manager, part of a cohort of managers who mentor and guide Breeden associates to success as they further their careers.

In 2019, Heather was awarded The Breeden Company’s Employee of the Year honor, an award bestowed to only one Breeden associate per year (out of 425 associates).

As a Regional Director, Heather prides herself on fully supporting her teams and communities in any way necessary.

Balmer joins the Breeden organization with more than 17 years of experience in the lifestyle-forward multifamily space. At The Breeden Company, Balmer will oversee a portfolio of multifamily assets in the South Hampton Roads market of Virginia.

“Sydney brings her passion for problem-solving and elevated resident experiences to the multifamily operations team,” said Bonnie Moore, President of Property Management. “She has extensive yet diverse leadership experience and will apply those skills as she leads her teams to continued success.”

Prior to joining Breeden, Sydney was a long-time residential community manager at Drucker & Falk, focusing on the continued stabilization of Class A assets. Balmer holds a CAM designation through National Apartment Association (NAA). CAM is the credential of distinction for managers of market rate and affordable multifamily assets, condominiums and cooperative housing.

Debbie Holsomback is a Regional Director in the multifamily division, focusing on the Richmond, Charlottesville and Northern Virginia regions. She has worked in the multifamily property management industry for over 20 years, starting her career with Trammell Crow Residential and Cornerstone. Prior to multifamily, Debbie worked in the hospitality industry, employed with Marriott.

In 2005, Debbie joined The Breeden Company as a property manager. Her love for property management and the real estate industry has driven her to obtain her national multifamily credentials. As a regional director, Debbie’s focus is to meld the hospitality and multifamily industry ideals together to create the best living experiences for her portfolio’s residents. She is also passionate about creating a unified region, from the grounds persons to property managers, property-to-property, who will all work together to grow, train and develop each other. The Breeden philosophy, to which Debbie employs, is to promote internally as much as possible so that we promote long-term careers with our employees/staffs.

Fred Andrews joined the Breeden Company in 2004 serving as a General Superintendent with Breeden Construction. In 2007 he brought his experience and expertise to Breeden Property Management as a Regional Maintenance Director. Fred was responsible for maintaining shop facilities and equipment within the company, lead and mentor service managers and would assist with organizing, planning and goal setting for preventative maintenance programs. Fred’s ability to work flexible hours, overnight travel and his quick response to emergency situations awarded him the title of Senior Regional Maintenance Director. His responsibilities are to assist the Director of Asset Management with all ADA requests as well as provide support to the Regional Operations team. Fred oversees the maintenance and CapEx items for 12 properties, totaling 2,200 units.

Anthony Hammill began his career in property management in 2006 as a Maintenance Technician at The Breeden Company's largest asset, Emerald Point Apartments. Under the leadership of excellent mentors, Anthony’s hard work earned him the role of Assistant Maintenance Supervisor. In those 3 years as the assistant, he displayed strength in problem-solving and decision-making skills, while ensuring the upkeep of the property and repair operations. This accelerated his promotion to Maintenance Supervisor. Anthony’s great eye for detail, leadership and knowledge of many trades landed him the 2015 Tidewater Multifamily Housing Council Maintenance Supervisor of the Year Award. During his time on-site, Anthony led a 4-year renovation on 863 units and advanced his career to Regional Maintenance Director. He now oversees 7 properties. Anthony holds many certifications including, but not limited to, HVAC Master License and Asbestos Supervisor License.

Keith Rote began his career with The Breeden Company in 2005 on the renovations team at Emerald Point Apartments and Townhomes in Virginia Beach, VA. His hard work quickly paid off, and he was promoted to Lead Turn Supervisor in 2008. Keith’s go-getter attitude, attention to detail and expertise landed him into his current role as Regional Maintenance Director. He oversees 13 Breeden properties and is responsible for maintaining the physical condition of each asset by establishing preventive maintenance programs, safety, compliance and performing property and equipment inspections. He provides supervision and direction to the Service Managers, sets goals and ensures accountability that such goals are accomplished. Keith holds many certifications including, but not limited to, CFC (Refrigerant Certification) Asbestos Abatement Certification and Lead Abatement Certification.

Billy Daughtrey brings 34 years of experience in multifamily to The Breeden Company. Currently, he oversees 13 properties totaling 2,850 units and is responsible for overseeing all capital improvements. Billy is a dynamic leader, who positively influences, mentors and leads a large team. He has excellent people skills, a positive attitude and the desire to provide quality customer service. He is responsible for designing and implementing monthly training for the maintenance teams including, but not limited to, Safety and Emergency Preparedness Training, Curb Appeal, Property Inspections and Interior and Exterior Repairs. Billy holds many certifications to include CFC (Refrigerant Certification)Asbestos Abatement Certification, Pool Operations Certification and Gas Pipe Certifications.

Avery Rouse is the newest Regional Maintenance Director, joining The Breeden Company in 2021. With 15 years of experience in the multifamily maintenance industry, Avery brings to the company, and team, organizational skills for the shop facilities as well as a strength in problem solving. With The Breeden Company, Avery oversees 7 multifamily assets’ maintenance operations, totaling 1637 units.  He is well versed in the intricacies of planning and implementing large-scale renovation schedules for multifamily assets. Avery holds many certifications including HVAC universal, CPO, 410A and CFC.

With a knack for always fixing things, Avery credits his uncle for introducing him to the multifamily service industry. Avery has also worked with companies such as Greystar and Gables Residential.
