It's Cold, Flu and Ick Season

What to do if you are sick (viral infection).
Viral infections are any illness you get from a virus. Common viral illnesses include colds, the flu, COVID-19 and norovirus (“stomach flu”).

• If you have symptoms of a viral infection, you should stay home and away from others (isolate).
• Stay home if you are sick until at least 24 hours after your fever is gone without the use of fever-reducing medicines, or after symptoms have improved (at least 4-5 days after flu symptoms started).
• The Breeden Company maintains a sick leave policy to allow any sick team member time to get better while also preventing the spread of viral infections at the workplace. The policy is in place, in part, to help maintain continuity of operations with the least number of team members negatively impacted, and help people manage their health and their family’s needs.
